A modern urban retreat designed by Yabu Pushelberg, we are centrally located in Bishopsgate and a two-minute walk from Liverpool Street Station. The Hotel boasts 237 bedrooms and suites, and has a selection of meeting and events spaces from the Pacific Ballroom seating 400 guests and 9 meeting rooms taking up to 65 guests. Straits Kitchen Restaurant seats 120 and has 3 private dining rooms taking 12 to 50. Ginger Lily Bar and Lounge and Straits Kitchen Bar provide more relaxed settings taking 150 and 30 guests respectively.

Leadenhall Market dates back to the 14th century and is situated in what was the centre of Roman London. Starting as the site of a manor, Leadenhall has survived changes in use, rebuilding, and even the Great Fire to become a popular destination for city residents, visitors and workers. Today, Leadenhall Market continues to provide a wide range of shopping and dining options to it’s visitors. Looking at the beautifully clean and vibrant Victorian buildings of today it’s hard to imagine the noise and smells of a 19th century market, but if you look closely at the shop fronts you will see the wrought iron hooks where produce used to hang.

One of Sir Christopher Wren's smaller masterpieces, this church has been immaculately restored. The central altar is by Henry Moore, and there is a magnificent organ with recitals on Friday from 12.30 to 1.30pm (admission is free). St Stephen's was also the birthplace of The Samaritans, hence the telephone in a glass box which can be found within the church. This is a tribute to the Rector, Prebendary Dr Chad Varah, who founded the voluntary organisation for people in emotional need.

A microcosm of London's shifting ethnic patterns, the area around Brick Lane in East London was once associated with poor slums and the scene of the crime for the Jack the Ripper murders.
