San Diego International Airport Information
With its convenient location near Downtown, the San Diego International Airport makes it easy for attendees to step out of the terminal into the sunshine and be at their hotel or meeting within minutes. Its location was just one of many reasons that it was ranked No. 1 in a recent survey of busiest airports in the U.S. while also receiving top marks for its amenities and design. Still, the San Diego International Airport continues to upgrade its facility to improve travelers’ experience. It recently completed a renovation of Terminal 2, adding 130,000 square feet, doubling the number of international gates and upgrading its services with curbside check-in, improved lounge areas and a host of favorite local restaurants…

It is hard to miss MTS’s bright red trolleys that crisscross Downtown and beyond and provide convenient service from the San Diego Convention Center to such popular locations as Old Town San Diego, the birthplace of California; Fashion Valley, an outdoor mall known for its luxury shopping; SDCCU Stadium and the international border. Starting in 2021, the trolley with its Mid-Coast extension will offer service from Old Town to the upscale University Town Center mall in University City as well as eight other new stations, including the UC San Diego campus.

San Diego AMTRAK
Located in Downtown San Diego, the historic Santa Fe Depot offers service for Amtrak and the North County Coaster, which conveniently connects Downtown and Old Town to the region’s charming coastal communities including Solana Beach, Encinitas, Carlsbad and Oceanside. Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner runs along the scenic Southern California coastline and is great way to avoid car traffic while traveling to such destinations as Anaheim, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. Even better is you can soak in scenes all while relaxing and sipping an adult beverage.
