Located in downtown Cancun on Tulum Avenue, Plaza Las Americas was once one of the only places for locals do their shopping. Clothing, sports, jewelry, shoe and department stores, a pet store, a nail salon, cafes and restaurants and even a supermarket can be found in Plaza Las Americas. The food court has been moved to Malecon Americas and what will appear in its place is still a mystery. In the middle and at the end of every month, retailers set up tables outside their shops and fill them with sale merchandise. During the holidays musicians play on the weekends.

In 2009 a monumental underwater contemporary museum of art called MUSA (Museo Subacuático de Arte) was formed in the waters surrounding Cancun, Isla Mujeres and Punta Nizuc. This project was founded by Roberto Díaz Abraham, former President of the Cancun Nautical Association and Jaime González Cano, Director of the National Marine Park. To begin with this unique museum, they hired English sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor. Today, MUSA consists of over 500 permanent life-sized and monumental sculptures and is one of the largest and most ambitious underwater artificial art attractions in the world.

Our hotel has upgraded from Grand Palladium to Grand Palladium Select thanks to the service, design and architecture in addition to a new pizzeria and a gelateria. These two in addition with our signature coffee shop, Piacere, gives our beautiful Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres an upgrade to our guests.
