The freshly renovated New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is an essential component of what makes the city's major business events so successful. With 1.1 million square feet of contiguous exhibit space, the Convention Center is the sixth largest convention facility in the nation, and it consistently ranks in the country's top ten of facilities that hold the most conventions and trade shows annually.
A $60 million linear park development along Convention Center Boulevard is under way, which will include dining, entertainment, retail and people movers. The Boulevard will be landscaped and lit with outdoor seating along the entire length of the Convention Center. The Louisiana Children’s Museum (LCM) will “take it outside” as it moves to its new location in New Orleans City Park in 2019. The 56,000 square foot museum will include five interactive exhibits including a 100-foot long mighty Mississippi water exhibit.
