{ Airport Shuttle } Transfers to and from the Calgary International Airport are provided by Allied Airport Shuttle. The rate is $15 per person from airport to the hotel and $10 per person from hotel to the airport, tip not yet included. Stephen Avenue Walk

Between the 1880s and 1930, Calgary’s Stephen Avenue reflected the growth of a typical Canadian prairie city. Built near the rail yards and train station along six blocks of 8th Avenue, the two- to six-story buildings made of sandstone and brick became a bustling retail hub. The avenue still serves the same purpose today. Known as Stephen Avenue Walk, it remains the heart of the downtown core and Calgary’s only pedestrian mall, with nine major shopping centers, boutiques, galleries, performing arts spaces, upscale restaurants, pubs and cafés – a vibrant gathering place for Calgarians and visitors alike.

What sets it apart from other museums chronicling the continent's native cultures and pioneer settlement is the excellence of its interpretation. Canada Olympic Park

This lasting memento of Calgary's role as host of the 1988 Winter Olympics stands in Olympic Park, which was the site for ski jumping, luge, and bobsledding during the games. Exhibits include the world's largest collection of Olympic souvenirs, such as the torch used to bring the flame from Greece; costumes and equipment used by the athletes; superb photographs; and a gallery of all medal winners. The reason that the park is still an exciting destination is the activities and lessons available. In winter, both adults and children can take downhill and cross-country ski lessons, learn to ski jump or snowboard, or get an introduction to snow skating. More exciting are the opportunities to ride a luge or bobsled -- luge rides are available year-round and will get the adrenaline pumping for road-trip weary teenagers. Other summer activities include a mountain-bike course, and chairlift rides up to the ski-jump tower.
