Dal Moro Gallery Hotel was founded back in 1890, the Dal Moro Gallery Hotel di Assisi is one of the city’s historic hotels and has been in the same family for three generations. In recent years the Marchetti family has transformed the hotel into a magnificent 4-star design boutique hotel. The hotel is situated just 30 metres from the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, erected over the world pilgrimage site of the Porziuncola of St Francis. Conceived to suit every need, our rooms are divided into Standard, Comfort, Art Design and De Luxe categories. All the rooms are on the first floor and accessible also with an elevator. The rooms are accessed via corridors with an ingenious lighting system that creates a relaxing depth effect on the glass ceilings. While the layout of the various indoor spaces reflects that of the original structure, a number of new solutions have been put in place to suit every need whilst sacrificing nothing in terms of quality and elegance. With strong ties to traditional Umbrian cuisine, the kitchen of the Dal Moro Gallery Restaurant is nonetheless a crucible for culinary experimentation and research, with the aim of providing our guest with cutting edge taste sensations in line with contemporary desires in food. Centrally located, the Dal Moro Gallery Restaurant di Assisi commands stunning views over the imposing dome of the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli. he restaurant has a number of indoor entertaining rooms, as well as a magnificent open air terrace overlooking the magnificent dome – designed by Vignola – of the Patriarchal Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
