The Westin Savannah Harbor is an ideal destination for groups. We experience high weekend transient demand through Q2, September, and October, which limits our availability for groups on peak Fridays and Saturdays. However, we are pleased to offer 80-90% of our 403-room inventory for groups from Sunday to Thursday. For larger groups, we partner with the adjacent Savannah Convention Center, accessible via a covered walkway, to provide additional exhibit halls and breakout spaces. Our property features both indoor and outdoor venues. Resort amenities include the largest Heavenly Spa and a world-class golf course, both offering activities for groups. Additionally, we can arrange dinners or receptions at 10 unique off-site locations around historic Savannah. Let’s discuss how we can make our hotel fit your client’s needs!

The Mercer-Williams House was designed by New York architect John S. Norris for General Hugh W. Mercer, great-grandfather of celebrated songwriter Johnny Mercer. Designed by British architectural prodigy William Jay in the neoclassical Regency style, the Telfair Academy is a former mansion built from 1818-1819 for Alexander Telfair, son of Revolutionary War patriot and Georgia governor Edward Telfair.
In 1875, Alexander’s sister Mary – heir to the family fortune and last to bear the Telfair name – bequeathed the house and its furnishings to the Georgia Historical Society to be opened as a museum. After significant renovation by German-born architect Detlef Lienau, whose adaptations included the addition of the Sculpture Gallery and the Rotunda, the building opened to the public in 1886 as the Telfair Academy of Arts and Sciences.
The Telfair Academy contains two nineteenth-century period rooms and houses nineteenth- and twentieth-century American and European art from the museum’s permanent collection including paintings, works on paper, sculpture, and decorative arts. Highlights include fine examples of American Impressionism and Ashcan School Realism, with major paintings by Childe Hassam, Frederick Frieseke, Gari Melchers, Robert Henri, George Bellows, and George Luks.

With an emphasis on pre-building and finishing sets, our team is able to troubleshoot any issues that may arise ahead of time, saving valuable time during delivery. We provide 3D production drawings to our clients to confirm every detail and also provide samples of finishes needed. As the project develops, we provide constant communication with clients to ensure the project encapsulates their vision. Our clients are encouraged to inspect their jobs in our shop to get a hands on feel of the scale and specific scenic elements.
