The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) is charged with marketing Southern Nevada as a tourism and convention destination worldwide, and also with operating the Las Vegas Convention Center. With more than 150,000 hotel rooms in Las Vegas alone and more than 14 million square feet of meeting and exhibit space citywide, the LVCVA's mission centers on attracting ever-increasing numbers of leisure and business visitors to the area. LAS VEGAS CONVENTION CENTER The Las Vegas Convention Center is one of the busiest facilities in the world - a 4.6 million-square-foot facility located within a short distance of approximately 150,000 guest rooms. Operated by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), the center is well known among industry professionals for its versatility. In addition to approximately 2.5 million square feet of exhibit space, 225 meeting rooms (more than 390,000 square feet) handle seating capacities ranging from 20 to 2,500. Two grand lobby and registration areas, one located in the West Hall, and the other in Central Hall (more than 260,000 square feet) efficiently link existing exhibit halls with new exhibit and meeting rooms, and allow simultaneous set-up, break-down and exhibiting of multiple events. THE EXTENDED DESTINATIONS OF SOUTHERN NEVADA Mesquite, Laughlin and Boulder City are situated a short drive from Las Vegas and offer a completely different energy and experience, each with their own personality and style. - Located 90 miles north of Las Vegas, Mesquite features five hotels with over 1,600 total rooms, several championship golf courses and legendary events such as the annual Hot-Air Balloon Festival and Motor Mania. - 95 miles south of Las Vegas is Laughlin, an oasis rooted on the Colorado River boasting aquatic recreation activities and eight full-service resorts along the Riverwalk, in addition to over 108,000 square feet of meeting space throughout the destination. - Boulder City, snuggled between Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam, offers a quiet small-town environment with big personality and ample outdoor activities.

More than 150,000 hotel rooms in Las Vegas offer a wide selection for any budget. Most are located within four miles of the LVCC. Conveniently located, Harry Reid International Airport is a short drive (just two miles) from the Las Vegas Strip, 3.5 miles from the LVCC and 15 miles from Downtown Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Monorail runs along the east side of the Las Vegas Strip linking seven stations over four miles to several resorts and the LVCC. Additionally, the LVCC boasts the Vegas Loop, a first-of-its-kind underground transportation system that utilizes a fleet of all-electric Tesla’s to transport attendees quickly across the 4.6 million square foot campus.
