Awarded Best Hotel in Africa by World’s 50 Best Hotels 2024. Mount Nelson, a Belmond Hotel, is a lush oasis perfectly positioned in the heart of Cape Town. The iconic pink hotel has a rich heritage that is woven into the fabric of the city, and has been welcoming visitors since 1899. Seven separate historic wings make up the resort sprawling over nine acres of flowering gardens, ancient trees and rolling lawns, offering magnificent views of Table Mountain, Lion's Head and Devil’s Peak. The hotel offers two large heated swimming pools, two floodlit tennis courts and a resident tennis coach, a children’s play centre with professional childminders and a glorious spa along with personal trainers and yoga classes. The hotel offers a feast of dining options, including the Chef’s Table restaurant in the heart of the kitchen, traditional Afternoon Tea in the lounge and conservatory, the poolside Oasis, The Red Room underground Pan-Asian restaurant, vibrant Planet Bar which spills out onto the terrace, The Fountain by Planet Bar and Harvest Tables in the gardens and Sunday Jazz Brunches.
