About us

Palace Hotel Vieste is in the town centre of Vieste, an administrative centre in the Gargano. Historians identify the town with the ancient Apenestre where the ruins of Merinum, another renown centre of the Dauni, are visible along the road to the Sanctuary of Saint Mary of Merino. The hotel stands out for its Liberty style testifying to its history. Indeed, the building dates back to the 15th c. and used to be the home of local noble families. It has recently been refurbished and turned into an exclusive hotel. Palace Hotel Vieste is a unique venue boasting class and comfort. Its 50 rooms provide all comforts. There are Suite and Junior Suite rooms, all featuring a small lounge and panoramic terrace where guests may enjoy the beautiful sea view. The coast around Vieste is a picture of wonderful colours: golden beaches washed by the clear blue waters of the Adriatic Sea, the constantly new light-play highlighting the emerald green vegetation in the background.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.

This new way of discovering a city via a walking tour with various challenges is a great way to learn about its history and discover its layout. Simple And Fun Each Tourist Scavenger Hunt is around 40 steps, 2-3 hours in duration on a 3-4km circuit which brings you back to the start.
