About us

Hotel Relais Dell'Orologio is located at one hundred meters from the Leaning Tower of Pisa and from Piazza dei Miracoli. It is in the heart of the university grounds, only a few meters away from the Scuola Normale Superiore in Piazza dei Cavalieri and from the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. It is ten minutes away from the Navicelli area where the main Shipyards of the city are located. Our guests may also reach the Arno embankments, the many museums and the splendid church of Santa Maria della Spina by foot. In the range of a few kilometres: the Natural Park of San Rossore with the Racetrack, the Roman church of San Piero a Grado, the Certosa di Calci and the Terme (spa) of San Giuliano. Hotel Relais Dell'Orologio is a prestigious and warm residence with twenty-one rooms all with refined and personalized furniture, two suites and two junior suites. The rooms all maintain elements of the original home. The hotel also offers a meeting room.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
