Jakar Village Lodge is located just below the jakar dzong, commanding the most majestic view of the Chokor valley of Bumthang. The lodge is just a kilometer away from the Chamkhar town, and five minutes’ walk from the Dzong. JVL has deluxe rooms, beautifully painted in traditional style, comfortably and tastefully furnished with the latest fittings and has high quality insulation. Gary and Ariel bring a wealth of industry expertise, having spent a combined 23 years with a major Marriott brand. Gary formally in both Sales and Meetings + Events before that, while Ariel served as Director of Beverage. Together, their deep insights and extensive experience make them true hospitality professionals.
They specialize in premium soy wax candles, diffusers, room sprays, essential oils, and wax melts. Their products are available in boutiques across all 50 states, and they are also proud to be featured at a prominent location in Disney Springs. Each year, they produce around 50,000 units, with 85% of them being private-label or custom-branded for their partners.
Ariel personally hand-blends every scent for their candles, diffusers, room sprays, and soaps, drawing on her expertise as a Certified Sommelier (yes, a professional "wine nerd") to create unique and captivating fragrances. She carefully selects and combines essential and fragrance oils from their trusted partners to ensure each scent is perfectly balanced.
