Against all odds, we have opened up our newest restaurant, Serafina, This little gem of a restaurant, perched on top of Nob Hill, has truly been a labor of love, as we were set to open at the end of February, and then had to do so during the ensuing pandemic....We are so excited about Serafina, which has been a concept in the making for many years for us. Serafina was Maurizio’s grandmother, and the name of her eponymous restaurant in the heart of Trastevere (Rome), where Maurizio first began making pizzas at the age of 14. She was a tough woman and wonderful chef.. an inspiration for his love of cooking then, and inspiration of how he is determined to persevere despite the difficult circumstances of today. We hope to create a warm, elegant space where neighbors and friends can come together. Cheltenham is one of the most easily accessible destinations in the UK, it is the perfect base to explore with the beautiful countryside and quintessential Cotswolds on our doorstep. Let me tell you a few of my favourite places to visit within an hour or so of Ellenborough Park: firstly, the historic Oxford, the city of dreaming spires, it houses Britain’s oldest and most prestigious university and the first known museum in history – the Ashmolean Museum. Also, local to us are the ancient Roman Baths and thoroughly modern Thermae Bath Spa, which houses the only natural thermal hot springs in Britain you can bathe in. Or why not take a royal stroll through the private residence of Their Majesties The King Charles III and The Queen Consort at the Highgrove House and Gardens.
