Om oss

Resort Poggio Cennina is situated on the heights overlooking the Val d’Ambra, it enjoys a unique panoramic view of the southern Chianti region. It was here that Luigi Pelaggi and Paolo Rossi decided to make their dream come true: to create a healthy retreat, far from the humdrum of daily life, where the passage of time is marked by the rising and setting of the sun and the coming and going of the seasons in their different colours. Houses and villas located within a historic old town, situated on a hill overlooking the Val d'Ambra. Elegantly furnished apartments with furniture of local Tuscan. We have 10 apartments and 3 villas.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
