The Savannah Convention Center, offers a unique and memorable venue for your next successful meeting, tradeshow or special event. The Savannah Convention Center is a 660,000 sq. ft. waterfront complex on the Savannah River featuring 200,000 sq. ft. of divisible exhibit space 4 Halls roughly 50,000 sq feet each, 27 meeting rooms, 5 executive board rooms, 40,000 sq. ft. ballroom in addition to the existing 25,000 sq. ft. ballroom, 367-seat auditorium and 1,500 parking spaces onsite, including a new 900 space parking garage. The building also features 3 new dining outlets and zoom rooms. Located on Hutchinson Island, the Savannah Convention Center has complimentary access via the Savannah Belles Water Ferry to the world-renowned historic district. The Savannah Convention Center is adjacent to the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa. The historic district includes the Hyatt Regency, Savannah Marriott Riverfront, JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside, the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa and a wide variety of limited feature hotels to round out a convention block. The Savannah History Museum is housed in the old Central of Georgia Railway passenger shed, a National Historic Landmark built in the 1850s and 1860s. The railway used the building until 1972. In 1984, a historical attraction called The Great Savannah Exposition opened in the building. The Coastal Heritage Society took over operation of the successor to the Exposition, the Savannah History Museum, in 1990. The museum is now home to more than 10,000 artifacts-- the largest collection of artifacts in the entire coastal community.
