About us
The Bahia Resort Hotel is a NEWLY RENOVATED waterfront property located on the beach of San Diego’s scenic Mission Bay. Featuring well-appointed accommodations with friendly service, spectacular views of Mission Bay, and lush tropical gardens, Bahia Resort Hotel is the ideal destination for meetings and conferences. At the Bahia, 15 distinct venues encompassing nearly 20,000 square feet complement a variety of meeting and conference needs, ranging in size from 10 to 1,200 attendees. The Bahia’s experienced event team will assist you from start to finish. Our Mission Bay Ballroom is the perfect location for a memorable meeting, featuring a birds-eye view of the bay from its lofty location atop the hotel. On select evenings, this space also offers a panoramic view of SeaWorld’s seasonal fireworks show, adding a special surprise to an already remarkable evening. Closer to the water’s edge, the Bahia’s outdoor venues are located directly on the beach or centered around an oasis-inspired pond, where they embrace San Diego’s beautiful natural landscape. For an experience a bit beyond the norm, groups are welcome aboard the Bahia Belle or her sister vessel the William D. Evans, to cruise Mission Bay. Both of these modern-day replicas of 19th-century Mississippi riverboats are magnificently adorned with rich woods, etched glass and polished brass fixtures, reflective of an era of fine service and elegance. Groups of up to 450 attendees can enjoy these vessels and all of their historic grace and charm. Because no event can succeed without the right elements in place, the Bahia offers an experienced and capable team ready to bring ideas to life. While talented event planners assist with the details of event preparation, the Bahia’s culinary team ensures that a customized menu leaves guests raving. Friendly service staff and technical aids are also at hand so that groups can focus on what truly matters: making the most of every event. Relaxing accommodations are also key to a positive experience, and the Bahia offers deluxe studios and suites, each with its own balcony or patio. Further options include newly upgraded WiFi, direct access to the beach, views of the sparkling bay and expansive tropical gardens. An array of dining options include the brand new waterfront restaurant: Dockside 1953 featuring seafood and Southern California cuisine, and our Airstream Grab and Go, offering specialty coffees and light food and snacks. Nearby activities consist of sailing, paddle boarding, kayaking, surfing and more ‒ though many opt to simply relax on the soft sand beaches or at the Bahia’s sparkling pool. Additional amenities include an on-site fitness center, tennis courts, kids’ arcade, bicycle and Segway rentals, with the hotel itself within walking distance to Belmont Park, an oceanfront amusement park in Mission Beach. The Bahia’s location is also ideal for those planning to visit SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Downtown’s Gaslamp District and the San Diego International Airport during their stay.
