Located in Southern California and just 7 miles from downtown San Diego, the Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center is the premier meeting and convention center hotel on the West Coast. This beautiful and expansive hotel overlooks San Diego Bay to the west and the Chula Vista Marina to the south, providing unimpeded views across the bay to the Pacific. The sixth hotel in the Gaylord Hotels brand portfolio has 1,600 guest rooms and suites, as well as more than 477,000 square feet of function and convention space, including a 140,000 sq. ft. carpeted exhibit and meeting “Flex Hall”, as well as 135,000 sq.ft. of outdoor event lawns.​

Serafina was Maurizio’s grandmother, and the name of her eponymous restaurant in the heart of Trastevere (Rome), where Maurizio first began making pizzas at the age of 14. She was a tough woman and wonderful chef.. an inspiration for his love of cooking then, and inspiration of how he is determined to persevere despite the difficult circumstances of today. The Formosa first opened its doors IN LOS ANGELES in 1939: making its new debut in its 80th year. Located across from the then-Samuel Goldwyn studio, stars like Frank Sinatra, Humphrey Bogart, James Dean, and Elvis Presley would pop into the legendary Formosa Cafe regularly for dining and drinks. On any given day, patrons might have seen Ava Gardner dancing past the old, red leather booths, or John Wayne nursing a late-night scotch (he was caught making scrambled eggs in our kitchen one morning, after reportedly passing out in a booth the night before). Among the interior design restorations is the full reveal of the iconic and original red trolley car, dating back to 1904 and is confirmed to be the oldest surviving red train car in existence. Boxes of autographed celebrity photos and storage units of original memorabilia have made their way back into the Cafe.
