Algila Ortigia Charme Hotel can be located in Siracusa, Italy. Its recent restoration has maintained the original, well-planned structure which is made up of three buildings and this contributes to its dynamic layout. All thirty rooms are furnished differently with antique furniture, four-poster beds and refined interior decoration which all add to its distinctive Sicilian touch as well as Mediterranean features. The charm of the past which can be found in the restored furnishings and fittings does not disregard the need for today’s comforts. Recently open to the public, the new Algilà Ortigia Charme Hotel restaurant, located on the island of Ortigia in a fabulous position and with a wonderful view of the sea, offers a cuisine which is in total harmony with the spirit of the hotel and which distinguishes itself by its respect of Mediterranean traditions.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
