Sibiu, “The medieval charm of Transylvania” is a vibrant town, animated and filled with culture. It holds one of the best preserved historical sites in the country, many of its medieval fortifications having been kept in excellent state. The city legacy and a variety of famous international festivals and cultural events designated Sibiu as Europe's Capital of Culture in 2007. Is the only city in Romania ranked 3-star Michelin in the Michelin Green Guide - meaning "must see". According to Frommer’s, the world leader of traveling guides, Sibiu was one of the top 13 world holidays’ destinations at the end of 2008. Also in 2008, Forbes recommends Sibiu (position 8 in top European destinations) as an idyllic and unpolluted space, beside Copenhaga, Rome and Ljublyana. In 2014 “The Huffington Post” included Sibiu in top 10 “The Most Charming Towns In Europe You'll Want To Visit”.
