The port of Blanes combines fishing with sport. The marina quay is run by the Blanes Sailing Club and has capacity for 309 moorings for boats up to twenty-four metres long. There is a petrol station, slipway and a dinghy hangar. The Club has a cafeteria and restaurant and a sailing school. Approaching from the south, Blanes marks the start of the Costa Brava. Its harbour combines commercial fishing activity with recreational sailing. The dock where the marina is located has 320 moorings for boats up to 15 metres long and a draught of 2.5. Run by the Blanes Sailing Club, it has all the services for nautical activities, including a boatyard with Travel Lift for 50 tons and a 3-ton crane, 2 slipways for dinghies and 4 beacons with a range of up to 5 nautical miles. It also provides fuel and water supply electricity, changing rooms and bathrooms, mechanical workshops, 24-hour crewing service, and a suction point for grey, black and bilge waters with waste recycling. The Blanes Sailing Club has a social club with a café and restaurant, and offers the activities of its Sailing School, where highlights include the organisation of regattas for cruisers and dinghies in the Europa, 420 and Optimist classes. When you approach by sea from the north, beware of the rocks at Santa Anna point and leave a leeway of 400 metres. If you are approaching from the south, keep some distance from the coast in the stretch between the mouth of the Tordera river and the harbour, as sandbanks tend to form. Southern and south-eastern gales may cause undercurrents inside the harbour. The Sant Joan castle, set atop a hill of 160 metres serves as a landmark for your approach.

Girona (/dʒɪˈroʊnə/, Catalan: [ʒiˈɾonə]; Spanish: Gerona [xeˈɾona]) is a city in northern Catalonia, Spain, at the confluence of the Ter, Onyar, Galligants, and Güell rivers. The city had an official population of 103,369 in 2020.[4] Girona is the capital of the province of the same name and also capital of the comarca of the Gironès and the vegueria of Girona. Since much of the old quarter of this ancient city has been preserved, Girona is a popular destination for tourists, and film productions have used it as a filming location (Game of Thrones). The city is located 99 km (62 mi) northeast of Barcelona City.

A nature reserve near Barcelona The Montseny Natural Park is in the Catalan pre-coastal mountain range. It covers an area of 31,063.94 hectares and is 50km from Barcelona and 25km from the Mediterranean Sea. The summits in this massif are the highest in the pre-coastal mountain range, and its name (Monte signo) comes from the fact that sailors used it as a landmark to return to Catalonia from their trips in the Mediterranean many centuries ago.

The town of Besalú is situated on an important and traditional crossroads in the east of La Garrotxa. Bisuldunum, its original name, was a fortress between two rivers: the Fluvià to the south and the Capellades to the north. Besalú was the seat of an important independent county. It has a historical and artistic medieval core considered to be one of the best conserved in Catalonia. Forming part of this core is the old church of Sant Pere Monastery from the XII century, the highlight of which is the originality of its ambulatory; Sant Vicenç Church from the XII century, where a gothic side chapel is dedicated to La Vera Creu; the façade of the old church hospital of Sant Julià from the XII century; the Casa de Cornellà, a Romanesque monument from the XII century and the gothic room of La Cúria Reial palace. The Jewish Call is also a highlight, and especially El Miqvé. Besalú's El Miqvé, or ritual bathhouse, is, with Girona's Miqvé, the only example of its kind so far discovered on the Iberian Peninsula. It is a stone house with a typically Romanesque barrel vault dating back to the XII century

Pals is one of the most picturesque towns on the Costa Brava, thanks to its Gothic period old quarter which has been carefully and completely restored to its former splendour. The village stands on the top of Puig Aspre, and the municipal boundary reaches as far down as the coast, boasting a very long beach, ideal for water-sports. Characteristic of the area of Pals are the rice paddies, inheritors of the swampy environment that used to be there and which add charm to the area. El Pedró, the historic quarter of Gothic origin, with a Medieval atmosphere and buildings, is the most attractive part of the municipality, which has other locations of interest such as the landscape of the old rice paddies and the dunes.
