Convenient Location Located in Richmond on the east side of Melbourne, Amora Hotel Riverwalk Melbourne is just a 30-minute drive from Melbourne Airport, making it easily accessible for both local and interstate travellers. Parking Self-parking is available in the paid car park beneath the hotel, accessible via River Street. Please note the car park has a height limit of 2 meters. Public Transport Trams: Catch tram #75 or #48 to Stop 22 on Bridge Road. Train: Hawthorn Station is a 10-minute walk, and Burnley Station is a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Private Transfers A personal car, limousine or bus can be arranged for an additional charge.

Originally located in Yorkshire, England, and built in 1755 by the parents of Captain James Cook, Cooks’ Cottage was brought to Melbourne by Sir Russell Grimwade in 1934. Navigator and explorer Captain James Cook never lived in the cottage – he’d been away from home for almost 10 years when his father built it – but this connection to the Cook family was enough to prompt Grimwade to transport the cottage to the other side of the world. Astonishingly, each brick was individually numbered, packed into barrels and then shipped to Australia, along with cuttings of the original ivy coverings. Come and explore this historic oddity and learn about its English origins and relocation to Melbourne.
