SUSTAINABILITY POLICY At Donnington & Co. we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint. We strive to be an environmentally responsible hotel, spa and golf course to help achieve a cleaner, safer and healthier world for us and for future generations, reducing our impact on the planet whilst delivering the best customer experience. Our plan is to educate and improve understanding in order to become more energy efficient, reduce waste, minimise pollution, recycle and to fully integrate environmental best practices into our day to day operations. As an 111 bedroomed hotel with a 90 cover restaurant, 8 function rooms, 18 hole golf course, health club, spa, swimming pool and Jacuzzi, we understand the importance of acting now to help improve our environment. We are working tirelessly to ensure our commitments are met and are aware that the activities of our hotel have the potential for negative impact on our local habitat and its community, so we are proud to be restoring wild flowers and diversity to Nothing Hill, along with installing bird boxes for owls, bee hives on our roof, log hotels and implementing long grass policy on verges of golf courses. We were also one of the first establishments to recycle our grey water by using it on our golf course and grounds. Education and understanding is key, so we will work with our team, suppliers, partners and guests to reduce the environmental impact and risk to our business by focusing on critical areas including carbon emissions from energy, waste, water, food & supply chain. These environmental performance indicators will be measured and summarised through annual reporting and used to continually improve our sustainability journey.
