In that aim it proved an instant hit with Minoru, one of the first star horses born and raised on the stud’s idyllic land, triumphing in horse racing’s most important contest, the Epsom Derby, way back in 1909.

With open fires and a mix of indoor and outdoor space this area can host up to 150 guests exclusively. We offer bespoke Banquet or Gala Dinners in our Medieval Castle Keep or 16th Century Banquet Hall with or without entertainment supplied depending on your preference. Take a step back in time and watch the history of Barberstown Castle come alive. Your host, none other than the Ghost of Nicholas Barby, who built this Castle in 1288! With haunting music, wonderful costumes and an authentic insight into local history, teamed with our glowing reputation for good food...
