Immediately adjacent the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel is the DeVos Place Convention Center featuring a 162,000 square foot, column free exhibit hall, 40,000 square foot ballroom and 26 individual meeting rooms (32,000 square feet). Twelve spacious loading docks (with a wash bay and marshalling area), allow for easy access into the exhibit hall. In addition, DeVos Place features a 2,404 seat performing theater with two independent loading docks and one loading ramp. Home to the Grand Rapids Symphony, Grand Rapids Ballet Company, Opera Grand Rapids and Broadway Grand Rapids, it can also serve as the perfect space for a general session or keynote address. The Amway Grand Plaza is the contracted caterer at the DeVos Place, so you can be sure your guests will love every meal!

The Public Museum in Grand Rapids, Michigan was founded by a group of civic leaders in 1854 as the Grand Rapids Lyceum of Natural History and in 1868 merged with the Grand Rapids Scientific Club to form the Kent Scientific Institute and Museum. Over the next century, the Museum established itself as a premier educational institution in the area, and continues in to fulfill this role for West Michigan today. A portion of the current Habitats exhibit on the Van Andel Museum Center’s third floor is dedicated to a recreation of the early days of the Museum, and illustrates the changing attitudes about collections-based education and interpretation. The Public Museum carries the distinction of being the first museum ever to be accredited by the American Association of Museums in 1971 and has continued to earn that accreditation in every review since. One of the Museum's most enduring attractions, this 1928 carousel offers rides year-round to visitors old and young. Includes 44 hand-carved, elaborately jeweled wooden horses, two chariots, and a giraffe, lion, deer, goat, tiger and camel.
