From Edinburgh Airport (EDI): Easiest/Fastest: Private transfer or rental car (approx. 1 hour). Public Transport: Take the tram/bus to Edinburgh center, then a bus to Crieff (via Perth or Stirling). From Glasgow Airport (GLA): Private transfer/car: Roughly 1 hour. Alternative Transport Options Train: The nearest stations are Gleneagles (11.6 miles) or Perth (17 miles), followed by a 15-20 minute taxi ride to the hotel. Taxi/Private Hire: A taxi from Edinburgh or Perth is the most convenient option, with costs from Perth/Stirling to the hotel around £35, or higher from airports.

Our 900-acre estate offers something for everyone - soar through the treetops at Aloft!, race quad bikes through Action Glen, conquer hills on our EZ Raiders, or test your aim at our air rifle and archery range. Prefer something more relaxed? Perfect your swing on our 9-hole golf course, try your luck fishing by the river, or explore our stunning countryside on horseback.

Drummond Castle Gardens

It’s one of the most beautiful parts of our wee patch of Scotland, and an absolute treat for the eyes. The stunning gardens are something of a celebrity here in Crieff, and it really is no wonder they've made it to the big screen. You might recognise them from the hit TV series Outlander, and while playing the part of Rob Roy in the movie with the same name, Liam Neeson had the pleasure of working in the gardens too. The beautiful gardens are a must see when visiting Crieff, particularly if you catch them on a nice sunny day. Looking down from the castle you'll get to take in the sheer magnitude of the gardens, and panoramic views of the perfectly manicured trees and formal planting. Only a five-minute drive from us, you’ll approach the castle through a single-track beech-tree lined avenue. The tall trees give a suitably grand introduction to one of the nicest gardens you’ll ever see. Don’t forget to stop in at the kitchen gardens and glasshouses. They provide the fruit and veggies for the house, and the plants that feature in the gardens are grown here too. If they’ve got some extra produce, you might be lucky enough to take a few home. The gardens are built into the side of a steep hillside with several flights of steps. While this makes for an excellent platform to view the gardens from, it can be a bit of a struggle for buggies and wheelchairs. If your dog’s got a nose for a beautiful garden, they’re welcome here too.

The Knock

The Knock’s easy to find and it’s easy to climb. Standing proudly above our Cozy Cabins at Crieff Hydro – it’s a firm favourite amongst our guests, when you get to the top, it’s easy to see why… Get on your bike, strap on your walking boots or saddle up a trusty steed – it doesn’t matter how you get up, just go, go, go. Going up on foot? Signposts lead you all the way up from Crieff High Street and the wooded hill welcomes you with a short steep hike or gentler ascent. So whether you’re a fair weather dawdler or a Munro bagger, anyone can take a ramble up The Knock. Make sure you follow the different paths around The Knock to really view Crieff in all its glory.
