The history of Anís del Mono starts at the end of the 19th Century, a story constructed of anecdotes and inspiration from different parts of the world. The Anís del Mono factory in Badalona is a modernist jewel that has been preserved for its artistic and heritage value. From the distillation room, where the anise liqueur is crafted in an artisanal way, to the archive, everywhere retains a period feel. On the 7th July 2012, a statue honouring Anís del Mono was unveiled on Badalona's seafront: a 200kg monkey sculpted in bronze.

The hike to the Monastery of Sant Jeroni is an excellent excursion for a mountain walk, enjoying the nature provided by the Sierra de Marina, and visiting the Monastery of Sant Jeroni, an outstanding example of Catalan Gothic architecture. This important site from the 15th century was visited several times by the Catholic Monarchs. The monastery was declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest in 2014. In addition to the visit, I recommend following the hiking route that leads to the nearby hermitages of Sant Climent and Sant Onofre, both perched on small hills with excellent views of Badalona and the surrounding area. Moreover, if you extend the walk a bit further, you can reach the Iberian settlement of Puig Castellar, which is in an excellent state of preservation.

LOCATION Near the Hotel Marina Badalona, there are several places of interest, such as the CCIB and the Forum of Barcelona, just 4 km from the hotel, the Palau Municipal d’Esports de Badalona, and the Màgic Badalona shopping center. The nearest airport is Barcelona-El Prat, located 21 km from the hotel. ROOMS The Marina Badalona hotel offers a different perspective of the Barcelona coast, surprising from every angle and personalizing each room with unforgettable experiences. The rooms are modern with white furniture and plenty of light. The shape of their large windows resembles the sails of a yacht. All rooms are stunning with views of the sea, the port, or the city. MEETING ROOMS The hotel has meeting rooms ranging from 45 m2 to 403 m3. 6 multifunctional spaces find their inspiration in the different beaches of Badalona that give them their name. Bathed in natural light, with sea views, spacious and versatile, our rooms are also equipped with the latest technology to accommodate the most original events. GASTRONOMIC SPACES There are 4 gastronomic spaces: our gourmet restaurant Tastavents, a culinary destination that will delight your senses, El Tela Marinera restaurant, our main restaurant offering the best products and Mediterranean culinary tradition, El Fanal as a classic vermouth bar, and El Far, our rooftop bar, with an infinity pool, offers incredible views of the sea and the city. SPA AND GYM The Amaina spa is inspired by the feeling of peace and balance. The water area includes an indoor pool, chromotherapy sauna, dry sauna, bi-thermal sensation shower, and ice room. We also have treatment cabins with sea views. The hotel also offers a fully equipped gym.
