Why liaise with Copenhagen Convention Bureau

As the official partner in Copenhagen, we are here to ensure that your event will be everything you had in mind – and more. Through us you will get access to our extensive network of local service providers such as hotels, venues and professional conference organisers (PCOs), and we will also help you select the suppliers that match your specific requirements. Both of which are of course free of charge. Copenhagen is one of the most popular convention destinations in the world. Here you’ll find world-class venues and hotels, people with strong language skills, sophisticated IT infrastructure and a well-run public transportation system. The city itself is reason enough to come. A pocket-sized capital where some of the best restaurants, museums, design and architecture you will ever come across are only a short walk – or bike ride – away. Speaking of bikes, Copenhagen is often praised for being one of the most bike-friendly cities in the world. The two-wheeler is the main mode of transportation for many Copenhageners and has outnumbered cars. It’s also a great way to reduce your carbon footprint, which is something that goes perfectly hand in hand with Copenhagen’s strong focus on sustainability. Here, the harbour water is so clean you can swim in it and the city’s bus fleet is going electric. As a visitor it’s easier to find an eco-certified hotel than one that’s not just as the restaurant scene is constantly finding new ways to include local produce and combat food waste. In fact, being eco-conscious has long been mainstream in Copenhagen, and our urban planning is all about reducing our environmental impact. Looking to expand your knowledge? Greater Copenhagen is home to Scandinavia’s most extensive research and business environment within Life Science, Cleantech and ICT. This means that by hosting a business event in Copenhagen you have access to a wealth of universities, researchers, university hospitals and science parks & innovation incubators. And it doesn’t stop here – large multinationals such as Novo Nordisk and Lundbeck are based in the area. All of the above, you can experience in safe surroundings. Just last year, Copenhagen was named the safest city in the world by the Economist Intelligence Unit. Perhaps not so surprising, as the city has long been an incredibly safe and inclusive place to live as well as to visit. Copenhagen Convention Bureau is an active member of several international meeting industry associations including the International Congress & Convention Association (ICCA) and European Cities Marketing (ECM). We are also a founding member of BestCities Global Alliance and are in a partnership with the European Society of Association Executives (ESAE).
