The Brooklyn Comedy Collective is a comedy theater and school in Brooklyn with a mission to produce irreverent, fearless shows from a wide range of voices and inspire students to approach performance from a place of joy and fierceness. From year-round comedy classes to workshops for businesses large and small to improv festivals and live comedy produced Tues-Sundays nights in East Williamsburg, we celebrate anyone who wants to let their freak flag fly. We offer a wide array of classes in improv, sketch, and stand-up and more - available year-round at our fabulous training centers in North Brooklyn - The Dog House (137 Montrose Ave, Brooklyn) & The Pig Pen (144 Boerum St, Brooklyn). Just a 1 minute walk away, we produce shows Tuesday-Sunday at our two-floor, kick-ass theater called Eris (167 Graham Ave, Brooklyn). Philly Magic Tours is the company of Robert Malissa, Master Magician (sorry to sound so humble). We have the following offerings: 1- A comedy magic show that has headlined in theaters in Philadelphia and NYC. This show is a great fit for corporate events as it uses themes of corporate life, such as interviewing for an assistant, bring on interns into the show (that don't get healthcare) and appointing someone head of HR for the rest of the show. 2- Walk around sleight of hand magic. For cocktail hours, galas, and any mixers you might have. 3- The Great Philadelphia Comedy Magic Walking Tour. Our signature Robot Team Building events are Robot Build and Battle 1, Robot Build and Battle 2, and our newest addition, Robot Racing! Nestled in the historic town of Bedford, New York, The Bedford Post Inn boasts a rich and storied past that dates back to the 18th century. Originally constructed in 1762, the main building served as a vital stagecoach stop along the Old Post Road, a major thoroughfare connecting New York City to Boston. During the Revolutionary War, Bedford and its surroundings played a pivotal role as a strategic outpost. The inn, with its vantage point and resources, is believed to have provided shelter and sustenance to soldiers and local militia. Stories passed down through generations suggest that the inn’s wine cellar may have been used as a hiding place for valuable supplies and even people during times of conflict. In the 18th and 19th centuries, weary travelers and postal riders would find respite within its sturdy walls, enjoying the warmth and hospitality of this rural haven. The inn’s strategic location contributed to its significance in the area, making it a bustling spot of activity for both locals and travelers. As transportation evolved and the age of stagecoaches waned, the Bedford Post Inn transitioned into a private residence in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The building’s historic charm and rustic architecture were meticulously preserved by its various owners, each contributing to its legacy. In 2007 actor Richard Gere and his business partner Russell Hernandez acquired the property, recognizing its potential and historical significance, they embarked on an extensive renovation project to restore the inn to its former glory while incorporating modern luxuries. Today, the Bedford Post Inn is managed by Sunday Hospitality. Whether it's enjoying a leisurely meal by the fireplace, exploring the scenic trails of Bedford, or simply soaking in the timeless ambiance, guests are invited to become a part of the ongoing story of this historic treasure.
