At the most attractive location on the Slovenian Mediterranean coast - Portoroz, where the blue Adriatic reaches far into the very hearth of Central Europe, the St. Bernardin, Adriatic Resorts & Convention Centre provides a complete range of services for those whishing to make the most of their free time or organize meetings, conventions or events. The St. Bernardin Resort is ideally located between the medieval Town of Piran and the modern resort town Portoroz. It offers three hotels, of which the five-star Grand Hotel Bernardin, the first and largest convention hotel in Slovenia with 241 rooms. The St. Bernardin Convention Centre at the Grand Hotel Bernardin is an extensive venue, designed to meet a variety of function: conventions, seminars, workshops, presentations and product launches, press conferences, business meetings, elegant fashion shows and banquettes. With a wide range of multifunctional meeting rooms, all with state-of-the-art technical equipment, natural daylight and a divisible main hall for up to 1.100 delegates’ theatre style, the convention centre is the right venue for up to 2.615 delegates.

Pečina Restaurant On the same floor, the Pečina Restaurant is located: it is an exclusive restaurant with a French flair. The restaurant is famous for its excellent Mediterranean cuisine with a French flair and a wide selection of fine wines. Barka Restaurant In the summer, you can enjoy sea specialties on the terrace of the Barka Restaurant: original seasonal dishes, fresh fish, crustaceans, and mollusks. Autumn winds and sunny days on the Slovenian coast attract many water sports lovers. If you are less of an adrenaline fan,you can try windsurfing, stand up paddling (SUP), sailing, rowing, swimming, water polo… in Hoteli Bernardin we have a long-lasting tradition of hosting sailing clubs in Hotel Histrion, Vile Park and in San Simon resort. The numerous regattas organised by the sailing club JK Pirat (Easter regatta, Halloween regatta, Portorož cup…) and the sailing club JK Burja Izola (Spring Cup, regatta for the Burja trophy in May St. Martin’s regatta in November, diplomatic regatta, etc.) confirm the fact that we are a great location for water sports.

The Slovenian coast is intertwined with many marked and unmarked cycling trails of various difficulty levels. You can take your family on a lovely trip on well-tended and paved trails, whereas the more adventurous can venture on unpaved gravel trails or through woods, tackling various ascents and thrilling descents. The most known cycling trail is the easy, marked and well-tended trail from Izola to Sečovlje. This route is suitable for anyone who enjoys cycling: recreational cyclists, young families and also older cyclists. We start in Izola, on the crossroad between Leninova and Prešernova street, and head towards the hills, where we quickly see the marking for the cycling trail. We continue towards Strunjan and then Portorož, passing through the lighted tunnel Šalet. Then we follow the marking of the cycling trails and pedal easily through olive groves and vineyards in the direction of Portorož, passing through Dobrava and then Strunjan. Here we pass through another tunnel, the 550 m long Valeta tunnel, and continue our way on the descent towards Lucija. We can continue towards Seča, where we cross the main road and pass Parecag before arriving in Sečovlje. A map of the cycling trails on the Slovenian coast will be very useful. If you have any other cycling related requirements, Hotel Histrion and Hotel Salinera will take care of them, as they are certified cyclist friendly hotels.

Before 120 day the event can be cancelled without any penalty, except the non-refundable deposit of 10.000,00€. 2. 120 days – 76 days before arrival: 40% of the blocked rooms can be reduced / cancelled without any charge that the St. Bernardin Adriatic Resort & Convention Center receives written notice of such reduction. In case more then 40% of the block booking is cancelled 1 night room revenue will be charged. 3. From 75 days – 60 days before arrival: 30% of the remaining blocked rooms can be reduced / cancelled without any charge that the St. Bernardin Adriatic Resort & Convention Center receives written notice of such reduction. In case more then 30% of the block booking is cancelled 1 night room revenue will be charged. 4. From 59 days – 30 days before arrival: 20% of the remaining blocked rooms can be reduced / cancelled without any charge that the St. Bernardin Adriatic Resort & Convention Center receives written notice of such reduction. In case more then 20% of the block booking is cancelled 1 night room revenue will be charged. 5. The Grand Hotel Bernardin 5* in Portorož is the first congress hotel in Slovenia located in a quiet, green area, right by the sea.
