It started off as Blount College in 1794, two years before Tennessee became a state. In 1826, the university dissolved its partnership with the academy and moved to what is now known as the Hill. If you want to know where we came from, we’re going to have to go all the way back to the year 2000 (yep, we’ve been around for a while!). That’s when our company was founded in Tennessee, but back then we were known as Specialty Planners International (SPI). Our primary focus was on meeting and corporate incentive travel planning. It wasn’t long before we moved our headquarters to the glittering lights of Las Vegas, where we worked with corporate clients traveling all over the globe – everywhere from El Salvador to San Francisco.
We loved our time under Vegas’ bright neon colors, but in 2014 the hills of Tennessee called us home. After moving our corporate headquarters back to Middle Tennessee, we expanded our offerings to include all DMC services. We found that having our trifecta of offerings made us truly unstoppable – DMC services, meeting planning, and incentive travel all under one umbrella. Our clients were thrilled!
