The 20th century Thornham Hall reflects its Tudor, Georgian and Victorian predecessors, with its open fires, spacious rooms and fine porcelain and portraits. The surrounding stables, by Lamb and the statuesque water tower add to the atmosphere. Thornham Hall is set in magnificent parkland and formal gardens at the heart of the Thornham Estate where Lesley's late philanthropic father-in-law, Lord Henniker, opened a field centre with over 10 miles of walks and rides.
