The Star Inn bevindt zich in York, Engeland. De Cross House Lodge is ideaal gelegen voor familie- of zakelijke bijeenkomsten, die normaal gesproken de 8 tweepersoonskamers van het hotel in beslag nemen en kunnen profiteren van een privédiner in het Wheelhouse of tegenover The Star. Het is een uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor vergaderingen, maar ook voor groepen die activiteiten opnemen in hun bezoek. Het unieke hotel met acht slaapkamers van The Star ligt letterlijk aan de overkant van de pub. Alle acht kamers zijn zeer individueel, veel met eigenzinnige kenmerken. The Wheelhouse at Cross House Lodge heeft een vergunning om burgerlijke huwelijksceremonies en burgerlijke partnerschapsceremonies te houden, waarbij maximaal 50 personen aanwezig zijn voor de ceremonie. Gasten kunnen voor en na de ceremonie ontspannen in de lounge of op het terras en de gazons ten westen van de Lodge. De receptielunch of het diner voor groepen van maximaal 40 gasten kan worden gehouden in The Wheelhouse at Cross House Lodge of het Restaurant at The Star. Voor meer intieme bijeenkomsten is de Private Dining Room van The Star beschikbaar voor maximaal tien gasten. Voor grotere recepties van meer dan 40 gasten kunnen er partytenten worden geplaatst bij Cross House Lodge.

The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.
