Het Castle Hotel, centraal gelegen in het hart van Windsor, is een prestigieuze omgeving voor vergaderingen, conferenties en netwerkevenementen. Het zelfstandige conferentiecentrum biedt 10 veelzijdige vergaderruimten die geschikt zijn voor 4 tot 400 personen, met een speciale pauzeruimte en meerdere pauzeruimtes beschikbaar. De grote Windsor Suite, de grootste balzaal in Windsor, biedt plaats aan maximaal 400 gasten in theaterstijl en 300 in banketstijl. De suite is uitgerust met draadloze ClickShare Present-technologie voor naadloze presentaties. Het hotel is houder van de Green Meetings Gold Award en de Gold Green Tourism Award en zet zich sterk in voor duurzaamheid in alle sectoren van het bedrijf en biedt een speciaal pakket voor groene bijeenkomsten. Vanaf november 2025 zal The Castle Hotel Windsor een renovatie van £9,5 miljoen ondergaan, die in 2026 voltooid moet zijn. De meerfasige transformatie onder leiding van interieurontwerpers, waaronder 3DReid, start in november 2025 en zorgt voor een volledige opfrisbeurt van alle slaapkamers en suites in het hotel. Beginnend met de Mews en slaapkamers in het oorspronkelijke hotel, en eindigend met de Parkwing, omvat de vernieuwing ook een herinrichting van de begane grond en de lancering van een nieuw Brits brasserie-concept in het restaurant. Een belangrijk aspect van de investering omvat het team, dat zal worden uitgebreid en ontwikkeld om een verbeterde gastenservice te bieden. De voltooiing van deze belangrijke renovatie is gepland voor eind 2026. Het conferentiecentrum blijft gedurende deze periode onaangetast. Het hotel heeft uitstekende vervoersverbindingen, dicht bij knooppunt 6 van de M4, op minder dan 16 km van de luchthaven Heathrow en op 800 meter van het centraal station van Windsor en Eton. Het centrum van Londen Paddington of London Waterloo ligt op minder dan een uur. Het hotel beschikt ook over 100 eigen parkeerplaatsen, waaronder oplaadpunten voor elektrische voertuigen. MET DE AUTO Als u een navigatiesysteem gebruikt om onze parkeerplaats te bereiken, voer dan de postcode SL4 1ER in en de ingang is via Bachelors Acre. De parkeergelegenheid is tijdens de renovatie beperkt en beschikbaar op basis van wie het eerst komt, het eerst maalt en parkeren kost £30 per voertuig. We hebben ook een oplaadpunt voor elektrische voertuigen. MET DE TREIN Twee grote treinstations zijn vlakbij: Windsor Central en Windsor Riverside. Vanaf hier kunnen gasten London Paddington of London Waterloo in iets minder dan een uur bereiken. MET HET VLIEGTUIG Het Castle Hotel Windsor is gemakkelijk toegankelijk voor zowel lokale als internationale bezoekers. De luchthaven Heathrow ligt op slechts 15 minuten rijden.

For history buffs, Pier 17 is one of the most interesting places in NYC. The economic growth of New York in the first half of the 19th century was driven by the Port of New York’s position as an import–export exchange and cargo center for emerging American and global markets. The Seaport and Pier 17 became a gateway for international shipping, maritime activities and the wholesale fish trade. South Street was known as the “Street of Ships” and the Wavertree, which is docked alongside Pier 17 to this day, arrived in New York City in 1895 en route to Calcutta with jute cargo aboard. The ship was acquired by the South Street Seaport Museum in 1968 and went through a 16-month, $13 million restoration. “These are the kinds of ships that built New York,” says Jonathan Boulware, executive director of the South Street Seaport Museum. A hub of commercial virtue (the finance, sea trade and printing press businesses were all located in this dense port) and accompanying vice (the area is home to some of the city’s oldest drinking dens, which played host to all manner of illicit activities back in the day), the Seaport was the first 24-hour district in New York, hence the phrase “the city that never sleeps”.
