Santiburi Samui werd onlangs ook uitgeroepen tot een van de vijf beste golfbanen in Thailand. Bophut Hills Golf Club — Gelegen in de rustige bergen en regenwouden van Koh Samui, is de Bophut Hills Golf Club de enige 'Pitch and Putt'-baan met 9 holes, par 3 van het eiland die van kampioenschapskwaliteit is. Ang Thong National Marine Park is een ongerepte archipel van 42 eilanden in de Golf van Thailand. De eilanden liggen heel dicht bij elkaar en hebben allemaal verschillende soorten en maten, wat zorgt voor een adembenemend panorama wanneer je door het park vaart, of het nu per zeilboot of speedboot is. De meeste eilanden zijn bedekt met tropische wouden en herbergen een rijke verscheidenheid aan exotische dieren in het wild en zeedieren. Snorkelen, wandelen, zeekajakken, duiken, zeilen en gewoon ontspannen op een van de idyllische stranden zijn de belangrijkste activiteiten om van te genieten op Ang Thong.

Wat Phra Yai is een Boeddhabeeld van meer dan 12 meter hoog; je hebt het misschien gezien bij je aankomst in Samui vanuit het vliegtuig en is zeker een bezoek waard. Het werd gebouwd in 1972 en is de beroemdste tempel van Koh Samui, gelegen op een klein eiland dat via een brug met Samui is verbonden. Kleed je alsjeblieft gepast, want deze tempel is een belangrijk boeddhistisch symbool voor Thaise mensen.
