De „" Sendai Mediatheek "” werd gebouwd om verschillende vormen van media te verzamelen, te bewaren, tentoon te stellen en te presenteren zonder gebonden te zijn aan vorm of type.” Deze openbare voorziening voor de 21e eeuw zal via haar verschillende functies en diensten de culturele en educatieve activiteiten van haar gebruikers kunnen ondersteunen. Sendai Mediatheque is uitgerust om activiteiten met betrekking tot kunst en film uit te voeren en gerelateerde informatie over te dragen. De faciliteit is ontworpen om aan zoveel mogelijk verschillende activiteiten tegemoet te komen, zodat mensen er op hun eigen manier gebruik van kunnen maken. We hebben vergaderruimten die kunnen worden gebruikt voor het houden van conferenties, discussiebijeenkomsten, trainingssessies en lezingen.
