Hotel Altura ligt aan de voet van de Altura-heuvel in de badplaats Porto Rafael, op slechts 2 km van Palau, tussen het uiterste noorden van Sardinië en de wereldberoemde Smeralda-kust. De accommodatie ligt midden op een groene en wilde heuvel met eilanden zoals La Maddalena, Caprera en S. Stefano en is in harmonie met het landschap, dat bestaat uit gebouwen met een typische architecturale stijl die herinneren aan de „stazzi galluresi”. Op een steenworp afstand van het unieke Sciumara-strand geniet u van het echte Sardinië, een typisch smaragdgroene zee, betoverende plekken vol smaken van de altijdgroene mediterrane natuur. Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
