Hyatt Regency Hakone Resort and Spa ligt in het nationale park Fuji Hakone Izu, 80 km ten westen van Tokio. Deze woonlodge ligt aan de voet van de berg Fuji en is gelegen in een gebied (Gora) dat bekend staat om zijn natuurlijke warmwaterbronnen (onsens). Het resort biedt accommodaties met in totaal 80 ruime kamers en suites in Japanse en westerse stijl, die allemaal een eigen zonneterras of balkon hebben. Gasten die een reservering hebben gemaakt bij het Hyatt Regency Hakone genieten ook van Japanse culturele ervaringen, zoals sommige kamers met tatami-vloeren (biezen mat), een onsen en een yukata (een traditioneel kledingstuk dat in het hotel wordt gedragen).

Kami is 3000 jaar geleden uitgebarsten — tot op de dag van vandaag spuwt er hete damp en sulfide uit. Het weidse uitzicht op Mt. Vanaf deze plek kun je genieten van Fuji (50 natuurgebieden in Kanagawa).
