ONZE FACILITEITEN U vindt hier de perfecte balans tussen elegantie en comfort die u mag verwachten van een statig huis, met moderne conferentiefaciliteiten, waaronder gratis wifi. Het speciale Retreat Conference Centre is een van de meest exclusieve vergaderlocaties in Berkshire en biedt plaats aan maximaal 400 deelnemers met een scala aan 14 vergaderruimten. Of u nu een besloten bestuursvergadering of tentoonstelling plant in onze indrukwekkende Windsor- of Eton Suites, met hun open terrassen met uitzicht op de tuinen, ons toegewijde evenemententeam kan aan uw behoeften voldoen. De kamers zijn licht en luchtig, met AV-apparatuur, airconditioning en de extra's die u nodig hebt voor een geslaagd evenement. Ontspan later in de luxe recreatieclub en spa en geniet van een eersteklas diner in het Acanthus Restaurant. Onze 126 slaapkamers hebben ruimte om te ontspannen en te werken. Verwen VIP-gasten met een van onze torensuites met hemelbed. Het historische Royal Windsor ligt op enkele minuten afstand voor winkels en cultuur. De wereldberoemde Wentworth Golf Course en Ascot Racecourse zorgen voor een onvergetelijke zakelijke uitstap en liggen op slechts 15 minuten afstand.

In 1711 was het koningin Anne die voor het eerst de mogelijkheid zag voor een renbaan in East Cote. Ze verklaarde dat het een ideale plek leek voor „paarden om op volle toeren te galopperen” tijdens het rijden. Hare Majesteit's Plate, ter waarde van 100 guineas en toegankelijk voor elk paard, merrie of ruin ouder dan zes jaar, vond plaats op 11 augustus. Elk paard moest een gewicht van de 12e dragen en er namen zeven lopers deel. De race bestond uit drie afzonderlijke voorronden van zes kilometer lang (elke heat was ongeveer zo lang als de Grand National), dus de winnaar zou een paard zijn geweest met een enorm uithoudingsvermogen.
