Alloa Tower dateert uit de veertiende eeuw en is de grootste overgebleven donjon in Schotland, gelegen op slechts 11 km van Stirling. De toren is de thuisbasis van opeenvolgende generaties van de graven van Mar en heeft onderdak geboden aan vele Schotse vorsten, waaronder mogelijk Mary, Queen of Scots.
