Dimitrios Village Beach Resort & Spa is een hotel verdeeld over verschillende gebouwen, met een vertrouwde sfeer, een voortreffelijke Griekse en Kretenzische keuken, gecertificeerd door de Griekse organisatie voor toerisme en omgeven door groen. Het hotel is onlangs gerenoveerd en bestaat uit volledig uitgeruste studio's, appartementen en suites. Het ligt direct aan het rustige strand van Missiria, op 2,5 km afstand van het toeristische dorp „Platanes” en 2,5 km van het romantische stadje „Rethymno”. Rethymno staat bekend om zijn lange zandstranden, zijn pittoreske oude stad, de Venetiaanse haven met zijn prachtige visrestaurants en het opmerkelijke fort „Fortezza”; om zijn Ottomaanse moskeeën met de oude inscripties, zijn archeologisch, historisch en folkloristisch museum, zijn universiteit (school voor filosofie, sociale wetenschappen en onderwijs), de Venetiaanse fontein „Rimondi” in het centrum van de oude stad en natuurlijk om zijn talloze traditionele tavernes met Kretenzische keuken (die voornamelijk biologische producten aanbiedt — en ook biologische lokale wijn en bier) en cafés, actief nachtleven met clubs en bars, maar ook boetieks en souvenirwinkels.
