About us
HOTEL OVERVIEW Located in the heart of downtown’s vibrant Central Business District, NOPSI Hotel, New Orleans is a meticulously restored 1920s landmark that once served as the headquarters for New Orleans Public Service Inc., the city’s historic utility company. Today, soaring vaulted ceilings, grand architectural details, and original industrial touches are paired with contemporary design to create a luxury lifestyle hotel that feels both authentically local and effortlessly modern. Just a few blocks from the French Quarter and Bourbon Street, and within easy reach of the Warehouse District, the Superdome, and the Convention Center, the hotel offers an ideal home base for exploring the city’s legendary music, dining, and cultural scene. GUEST ROOMS AND SUITES With 216 thoughtfully designed guest rooms and suites, NOPSI Hotel combines refined residential comfort with subtle nods to its power company past. Spacious accommodations feature clean, modern furnishings, plush beds, and spa-inspired bathrooms with soothing tilework and oversized, walk-in showers—among the most generous in the city. Many suites offer expanded living areas, while select terrace and Spa Suites provide private outdoor spaces with sweeping views over the Central Business District skyline, creating tranquil retreats above the city buzz. MEETING AND EVENT SPACES Featuring more than 14,000 square feet of architecturally significant indoor and outdoor space, NOPSI Hotel is New Orleans’ new gathering place for meetings, incentives, and celebrations. The industrially elegant Dryades Ballroom showcases 30 foot ceilings and floor to ceiling arched windows, while five vaulted breakout rooms, The Avenue pre function space, and unique venues like PS Reserve and the Undercurrent Patio offer flexible options for everything from executive retreats to gala dinners. Above the Grid, the rooftop pool deck and lounge, provides a dramatic open air backdrop for receptions with panoramic skyline views. DINING NOPSI’s culinary experiences celebrate the flavors and textures of the Gulf Coast, brought to life in a collection of vibrant venues. Public Service, the hotel’s signature restaurant, is a casual yet sophisticated gathering place where chefs honor local fishermen and farmers with seasonally driven dishes from an open display kitchen and raw bar. In the timeless Grand Lobby, Henry’s Gin Bar and the adjoining Undercurrent Bar & Patio serve handcrafted cocktails, an extensive gin selection, and light bites against a backdrop of vaulted ceilings and wrought iron accents reminiscent of a classic Crescent City courtyard. High above the streets, Above the Grid rooftop bar and pool deck offers fresh fare, creative drinks, and a lively scene from day into night. RELAX AND EXPLORE NEW ORLEANS Guests can unwind at the rooftop pool, where lounge seating and long city views create a resort-style escape in the middle of downtown, or keep up with their routines in the hotel’s fitness facilities. For a more private retreat, Spa Suites on the upper floors are equipped for in-room treatments and relaxation, blending the comforts of a spa with the privacy of a suite. Outside the front doors, New Orleans awaits—streetcars, live music venues, world-class museums like the National WWII Museum, the riverfront, and the historic French Quarter are all just moments away, offering endless opportunities to connect groups with the soul of the city.
