Het Royal-Continental hotel in Napels, een van de pijlers van de Royal Group Hotels & Resorts, geniet van de lichten en kleuren van een van de meest verbazingwekkende golven ter wereld en is de ideale locatie voor de organisatie van vergaderingen, conferenties en evenementen. Gelegen aan zee tegenover het eiland Castel dell'Ovo e Capri. Het hotel beschikt over 400 kamers en 23 vergaderzalen met een auditorium voor maximaal 530 personen. De gemeenschappelijke ruimte, de kamers en de vergaderruimte zijn in 2006 volledig gerenoveerd. Het gebied is de beroemdste van de stad Napels, naast het hotel zijn er veel pizzeria en typische restaurants. Het is mogelijk om het Plebiscito-plein (het centrale plein) in 5 minuten lopen te bereiken. Het hotel ligt op 9,5 km van de internationale luchthaven Capodichino, op 3 km van de haven en op 3,5 km van het centraal station van Garibaldi.

Pompeii is een verwoeste en gedeeltelijk begraven Romeinse stad in de buurt van het moderne Napels in de Italiaanse regio Campania, op het grondgebied van de gemeente Pompei. Samen met Herculaneum, de zusterstad, werd Pompeii verwoest en volledig begraven tijdens een lange catastrofale uitbarsting van de vulkaan Vesuvius die twee dagen duurde in 79 na Christus. De uitbarsting begroef Pompeii onder 4 tot 6 meter as en puimsteen en ging bijna 1600 jaar verloren voordat het per ongeluk werd herontdekt rond 1592. Sindsdien heeft de opgraving een buitengewoon gedetailleerd inzicht gegeven in het leven van een stad op het hoogtepunt van het Romeinse Rijk. Tegenwoordig is dit UNESCO-werelderfgoed een van de populairste toeristische attracties van Italië, met ongeveer 2.500.000 bezoekers per jaar.
