About us

A mere 10 minute walk or 800 meters from the entry gate of Monemvasia, the majestic walled byzantine citadel, Lazareto Hotel combines the perfect location for both historic tours of the castle area as well as simple relaxation in the hotel gardens or terraces overlooking the surrounding sea. The position of Lazareto, standing just at the bottleneck of Monemvasia rock, as well as its amphitheatrical layout, grant superb panoramic sea views from its balconies, verandas, gardens and most of its rooms. Enjoy swimming in the cool crystal clear sea waters that surround the hotel and allow the sea breeze to lull you into a state of peaceful meditation. Experience first hand the genuine atmosphere of Monemvasia whilst you benefit of convenient access and free parking area. You can enjoy a plentiful buffet breakfast or a leisurely drink on the stone paved terraces shaded by old aged pine trees bordering on the vineyard. Otherwise, take advantage of room-service and snack on your private balcony, whilst overlooking the Mirtoo gulf with Monemvasia’s breathtaking landscape as the perfect back-drop.In the winter, guests can enjoy their drinks and wile away the hours in our elegant indoor dining room, in the company of a raging fire place.
