About us
Die Pinder Hall wurde 1936 für die Einwohner von Cookham erbaut. In einem Auszug aus dem Maidenhead Advertiser vom Mittwoch, dem 1. April 1936, mit dem Titel „Cookham's New Hall“ heißt es: „Das Dorf Cookham wurde durch die Errichtung einer herrlichen Halle bereichert, die durch die Großzügigkeit eines bekannten Anwohners, Herrn H. Pinder-Brown, zur Verfügung gestellt wurde. Es befindet sich an prominenter Stelle an der Cookham Rise Road und erfüllt nicht nur einen seit langem bestehenden Mangel in der Nachbarschaft, sondern ist auch eine schöne Ergänzung zur Architektur des Dorfes.“ Die Pinder Hall besteht aus einem Hauptsaal mit Platz für bis zu 200 Personen, Theaterbestuhlung für Filme und Theaterstücke, wenn nur Stühle benötigt werden, und 120 für Veranstaltungen, für die Tische benötigt werden. Die Halle hat an einem Ende eine große Bühne, die für Theateraufführungen genutzt werden kann. Es gibt Theaterbeleuchtung und Vorhänge sowie Zugang zu einem dahinter liegenden Green Room.
