Has your hotel taken steps to reduce single-use plastics, such as removing plastic straws (except upon request for guests with disabilities), stirrers and cotton buds? If yes, please provide detail as to the steps you have taken to reduce single use plastics?
Yes, Radisson RED Krakow has implemented several initiatives to reduce single-use plastics in line with the sustainability framework of Radisson Hotel Group. We have removed plastic water bottles from guest rooms and installed water dispensers in the corridors to encourage refill and reduce packaging waste. Plastic straws and stirrers have been replaced with eco-friendly alternatives, which are available upon request. In meeting spaces, branded plastic pens have been replaced with pencils. Additionally, giveaway sweets are wrapped in wood-based foil wrappers instead of conventional plastic packaging. These measures form part of our ongoing commitment to minimizing environmental impact and promoting more responsible hospitality practices.

The hotel sources electricity from renewable energy through an external supplier. This energy is covered by Guarantees of Origin, certifying that it is generated from renewable sources such as wind and solar power. We also hold a certificate from the supplier confirming the renewable origin of the energy.

Standard cleaning is included in the room rate and does not incur any additional charges. However, in cases where the room is excessively soiled due to unusual circumstances caused by the guest, an additional cleaning fee may apply. The amount of this fee will depend on the extent and nature of the contamination, particularly where, in accordance with HACCP principles, affected items must be discarded rather than cleaned.

All bedding (including duvets and pillows), towels, and bathrobes are cleaned daily by an external laundry provider in full compliance with sanitary regulations and Radisson brand standards. Headboards are maintained using professional Kärcher equipment and Diversey cleaning solutions.
