北京国立競技場（正式には国立競技場）は、鳥の巣（鳥の巣）（Niocháo）としても知られ、中国の北京にあるスタジアムです。このスタジアムは、2008年の夏季オリンピックとパラリンピックの開催期間中の使用を想定して設計されました。オリンピックグリーンにあるこのスタジアムの費用は4億2,300万米ドルでした。このデザインは、2003年4月にスイスの建築事務所ヘルツォーク＆ド・ムーロンから13件の最終応募作品を含む入札を経て授与されました。この設計は中国陶磁の研究から生まれたもので、格納式屋根の支柱を隠すために鋼製の梁を採用し、スタジアムを鳥の巣のように見せた。中国を代表するアーティスト、アイ・ウェイウェイがこのプロジェクトの芸術コンサルタントを務めました。スタジアムの最も有名な側面に影響を与えたため、格納式の屋根は後にデザインから削除されました。2003年12月24日に地面が壊れ、2008年6月28日に正式にオープンしました。オリンピック後、サッカーなどのイベントの誘致が難しかったスタジアムの利用を増やすため、ショッピングモールとホテルの建設が計画されている。
