Situated in downtown Thessaloniki, it’s the perfect port of call for constant travelers who know how to live in the moment and are at home wherever they set down their bag. Flying light and often solo, expecting seamless comforts, a bit of local buzz, and highly professional yet completely unpretentious service, they’ll find nothing less than everything they need at the Modernist. A stay at the Modernist Thessaloniki is all about a sense of place and a state of mind, conjured by warm welcome gestures and service that feels effortless and sincere, daily rhythms which are swift and discreet, suggestions that personalise your stay, reception around the clock, local know-how manifested in custom craft and contemporary designs echoed in the small objects of our concept store, and such unexpected yet all-important details as stamped postcards, a selection of books and the international magazines fresh off the press. At the Modernist, however natural and simple things may seem, nothing was left to chance. Social areas are visually seamless extensions to the consummate quiet and privacy of your room. With the exception of selected signature pieces in the lobby, the furniture, lighting and uniforms are our own design, made to measure for the perfect fit and functionality.
