Plumber Manor Country House Hotel, Dorset is one of the finest country house hotels in Dorset, is the only hotel in the UK that is still owned, and now run as country house hotel, by the same family that built it in the early 1600s. There's no pretence here. You're guests of one of the oldest families in Dorset, whose roots can be traced back to William the Conqueror, and they'll really look after you. Plumber Manor, the archetypal Dorset country hotel, is a fine Jacobean country house, located in the heart of Thomas Hardy's ‘vale of little dairies', one of the most beautiful parts of Dorset. It's so ‘far from the madding crowd', you could be excused for believing time is at a standstill and that Plumber Manor is the natural order of things.
