La città italiana di Mondovì si trova tra le montagne e la pianura: da un lato si affaccia sulla pianura attraversata dal fiume Po che porta a Torino; dall'altro è situata su una collina che segna il confine delle «Langhe», la terra del tartufo e dei vini.
Vista su Mondovì e sulle montagne Il cuore di Mondovì è la «Piazza Maggiore» con i suoi portici, che è anche un buon punto di partenza per la tua visita. Tra gli edifici qui sulla piazza c'è la Chiesa della Missione, con la sua facciata barocca e ricca di storia e arte. Costruita dai Gesuiti nel XVII secolo, passò nel 1773 ai Monaci della Missione, poi fu confiscata da Napoleone nel 1803 e restituita ai monaci a partire dal 1815.
Vicino alla piazza c'è un piccolo giardino con ampie vedute: in questo luogo sorgeva una chiesa del XIII secolo ma ora non c'è più.
Interessante anche nelle vicinanze di Mondovì è la Chiesa della Misericordia, la prima chiesa costruita da Francesco Gallo nella sua città natale (nel XVIII secolo). Fu costruito per i monaci carmelitani, che avevano occupato il convento adiacente nel 1606.
Gallo disegnò gli altari della chiesa, diresse la decorazione in stucco e affidò il dipinto a Bisone di Locarno e Pietro Antonio Pozzo.

Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels.
When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.

Who doesn’t enjoy traveling, movies, music, games, and room escape challenges? We figured if we’d have fun building and testing these Tourist Scavenger Hunts, you would also enjoy doing them. This new way of discovering a city via a walking tour with various challenges is a great way to learn about its history and discover its layout.
Simple And Fun
Each Tourist Scavenger Hunt is around 40 steps, 2-3 hours in duration on a 3-4km circuit which brings you back to the start.
