El Paso International Airport (ELP) is the gateway to West Texas, Southern New Mexico and Northern Mexico. It provides airline passenger services, air cargo, and general aviation services. The Airport is favored with abundant land (nearly 7,100 acres) and beautiful flying weather. The Airport is located 6 miles east of downtown El Paso and 1.7 miles north of Interstate 10 Exit 25 (Airway Blvd).

Located in El Paso, TX, Fort Bliss is home to the 1st Armored Division, which returned to US soil in 2011, after 40 years in Germany. Fort Bliss is comprised of approximately 1.12 million acres of land in Texas and New Mexico. The Main Cantonment Area of Fort Bliss is located adjacent to El Paso, Texas. Fort Bliss trained thousands of U.S. Soldiers during the Cold War. As the United States gradually came to master the art of building and operating missiles, Fort Bliss became more and more important to the country, and expanded accordingly.

The Fountains at Farah is a regional, lifestyle-shopping venue offering fresh, name-brand boutiques in addition to on-trend and mid-range department stores. The Fountains at Farah features a refreshing, open-air atmosphere with numerous cascading water displays, entertainment venues, patio dining and covered parking.

Recently named Baseballparks.com Ballpark of the Year for 2014, Southwest University Park offers majestic views of the Franklin Mountains and Downtown El Paso Skyline. Designed by the architecture firm, Populous, the ballpark is situated on a little more than five acres of land. Southwest University Park incorporates El Paso's rich history with its unique design. The red brick exterior resembles the nearby Union Depot and includes a box car-like façade and archways along the concourse.

Arts Festival Plaza – located between the El Paso Museum of Art and the Plaza Theatre – is home to some of Downtown’s most popular summer attractions, including Alfresco! Fridays and Dancing in the City. It has also been used as a music venue for the annual Downtown Street Festival, an outdoor movie theatre for films during the Plaza Classic Film Festival and for public art gatherings, such as the Chalk the Block. The area also features a man-made waterfall, lush trees and greenery.

The El Paso Museum of Art is a major cultural and educational resource for West Texas, New Mexico, and Mexico. The Museum houses a permanent collection of over 5,000 works of art. In addition to displaying these works, the Museum offers a diverse schedule of temporary exhibitions, films, lectures, concerts, and other educational programs to the general public.

The Franklins are the largest sustained mountain range in Texas, with the summit of North Franklin Peak rising to an elevation of 7,192 feet, approximately 3,000 feet above the city below. On the eastern flank of North Franklin Mountain lie the remnants of our nation's only tin mining, milling and smelting operation, which was active from 1910 through 1915. Two hiking trails are currently accessible off of Loop 375/Transmountain Road. Work is underway for a trail network that will ultimately have more than 100 miles of trails. Rock climbing is one of the park's newest recreational activities, with established climbing areas in McKelligon Canyon. A limited number of primitive tent camping sites are available in the Tom Mays Unit. Traditional sites allow for tents placed on the ground. Five self-contained RV sites have also been added. All potential campers should be forewarned: there are no water or electricity supplies. Those desiring camping reservations may contact the park office. Reservations are recommended.
